Willson, Laurel R.

Laurel Rose Willson (18 August 1941 – 8 April 2002), born and raised in the U.S., was a Christian author with a history of fabricated atrocity claims about her past. When the story of the false Holocaust witness Bruno Doessekker aka Binjamin Wilkomirski made headlines (see the entry on him), Willson jumped on that gravy train. Using the fake name Laura Grabowski, she claimed to have been an Auschwitz survivor who knew Wilkomirski from that camp. The self-inflicted scars she had previously – falsely – claimed to have been caused by satanic rituals during her childhood then transmogrified into scars presumably inflicted by Josef Mengele. When Wilkomirski was exposed as a fraud, so was Willson (see Passantino/Trott).
